About the Jetcast plug-in (as used by The Peak stream)

The Peak’s partnering with Jetcast was carefully considered. Jetcast provides a digitally certified plug-in with no spyware, adware or malware. You only need to install it once, and never again. The Jetcast plugin is safe and focused only on enhanced media delivery. Although it may be new to you Jetcast has over 40 million downloaded successful users.

Jetcast is a non-intrusive, standards based plug-in which uses Windows Media from Microsoft to stream higher quality audio and video (yes, we are considering some video streams as well) far more efficiently than ever before.

Jetcast allows broadcasters to deliver you a better quality Internet broadcast. Jetcast technology also allows the broadcaster the ability reduce their streaming costs and support the streaming cost with advertising which keeps the programming FREE to you.

Mac users, we didn't forget about you! Official Mac support is coming very soon in the form of a certified Safari plug-in. The plug-in is currently in a comprehensive beta test and will be released to the public shortly.

So, if you use a Mac, or find yourself unable to install the Jetcast plugin or are behind a restrictive network at work, here's an alternate link for a widows media encoded stream at 32kbps. Mac users, you will need to have Windows Media Player for Mac installed.
